Harold Persaud popularly known as Harold Caribbean International artist, born on the Essequibo Coast, Guyana in The West Indies, is the leader of a six man band. Besides being an artist, Harold also is an expert in musical research, developing, and mixing pop music with tropical rhythms into Reggae such as Rock Reggae, Soca Reggae, Calypso Reggae and Country Reggae.
Harold Caribbean has released eight critically acclaimed recordings, including “Vision of My Mind,” “Do You Wanna Reggae,” “Tropical Rhythms,” “Universal Reggae.” etc. His artistic endeavors have been widely reported and highly praised by recognized critics in major magazines and newspapers.
American recording label, Warner Music included Harold Caribbean in one of its compilations with internationally renowned artists, Luiz Miguel, Laura Pausini, the Scorpions, and Simple Red.
In Europe “Vidisco” a Portuguese record label, Harold Caribbean recorded with significant collections of his own songs as well re-recordings of some world hits like “Do You Wanna Dance” (Johnny Rivers), “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” (Paul Simon), “Please Don’t Go”(KC & The Sunshine Band), including the smash hit of Bob Marley “Get Up Stand Up.”

In Brazil, his song, “I Don’t Wanna See You Cry” appeared in the soundtrack of the 2002 feature film, Marisol. Pepeu Gomes, one of Brazil’s top-selling acts, a household name in Brazil, and unquestionably the most well-known guitarist of his country, together with Harold Caribbean recorded the project “Brazil Caribe.” The recording is a fusion of Brazil and the Caribbean islands rhythms. In Brazil Harold Caribbean has performed at the Global Forum, Eco-92 (UNO) in Rio de Janiero, also performed at the Olympia in Sao Paulo, “Reggae Festival” together with Julian Marley (son of Bob Marley).
In the USA, Harold Caribbean recently headlined the Miami Dolphin’s Annual Charity Event. Harold also performed at the Hard Rock Cafe Hotel hosted by Harley Davidson. Harold was invited to play for the Consulate of Republic of Guyana in Miami. In Las Vegas the NAB (National Association of Broadcasting) hosted a convention where Harold performed.
Harold Caribbean’s live shows are the times when he unleashes all his energy and charisma, involving audiences and maintaining a continuous and vibrating rhythm throughout the spectacle. The shows bring together Harold Caribbean and his interpretations of hits of famous artists like Bob Marley, Inner Circle, Neil Diamond, The Beatles, Willie Nelson, and Lionel Richie.
The new CD, “Living For Love”, is being prepared and produced by one of Bob Marley’s engineers, Karl Pitterson, in Miami, Florida USA with a special touch of “lovers’” and “roots Reggae.” Most songs are written by Harold Caribbean.
